1. About these terms
Lifehosty ("Lifehosty", "we", "us") is a brand of Azimra Technologies Private Limited, a company registered in India. These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to every website, hosting plan and service you buy from Lifehosty ("Services").
By placing an order or using the Services, you agree to these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you are buying for a business, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to buy the Services.
- Your account details, including your name, email, phone number and billing address, must be accurate and kept up to date. We use your email to send important notices about your plan.
- You are responsible for keeping your client area, cPanel, SSH and email passwords secure, and for everything that happens under your account.
- You are responsible for the websites, apps and content hosted on your account, including content added by people you give access to.
3. Orders, payment and GST
- Prices on our website are in Indian Rupees and exclude GST. GST at the applicable rate (currently 18%) is added at checkout.
- Lifetime plans are paid for once, in full, at the time of purchase. Your account is set up after payment is confirmed.
- Every order receives a GST invoice from Azimra Technologies Private Limited. Add your GSTIN at checkout if you want to claim input tax credit.
- You may upgrade to a higher plan at any time by paying the price difference between your current plan and the new plan, plus GST.
- Optional add-ons, premium licences and third-party services are charged separately and are not part of a lifetime plan unless the plan description says so.
- Lifehosty does not sell domain names. You need your own domain, registered with any registrar, and you are responsible for renewing it.
4. Lifetime hosting terms
In short: you pay once, and your plan stays active with no renewal fees for as long as Lifehosty operates. If we ever had to stop, you get at least 6 months' notice, a full backup, free migration help and a partial refund.
4.1 What "lifetime" means
"Lifetime" means your hosting plan remains active, with no renewal fees, for as long as Lifehosty operates the hosting service, provided your account follows these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Fair Usage Policy. It does not refer to the lifetime of any person.
4.2 No renewal fees
We will never issue a renewal invoice for your hosting plan, and we will never increase the price of a plan you have already paid for.
4.3 Your plan's resources
Your plan includes the resources listed for it at the time of purchase, such as the number of websites, storage, email accounts, and Node.js or Python apps. We will not reduce these resources for as long as your plan is active.
4.4 Moving to newer infrastructure
Over time we may move your account to newer servers, hardware or data centres, and update the server software your account runs on. When we do, your plan's resources will stay the same or improve. We will tell you in advance about any move that needs action from you, such as changing your domain's DNS settings.
4.5 What a lifetime plan does not include
- Domain names and their yearly renewals.
- Paid add-ons, premium licences and third-party services, unless the plan description says they are included.
- Website design, development, or writing and debugging your own application code.
4.6 Transferring a plan
A lifetime plan belongs to the account that bought it. You may ask us to transfer it to another person or business by contacting support. We may ask both parties to confirm the transfer.
4.7 If Lifehosty ever has to stop the service
We intend to operate Lifehosty for a very long time. If we ever have to stop providing the hosting service, we commit to the following for every active lifetime customer:
- Notice: at least 6 months' written notice by email before the service ends.
- Your data: a full backup of your account, including files, databases and email, available to download during the notice period.
- Migration help: free help moving your websites to another hosting provider of your choice.
- Partial refund: a refund of the amount you paid for your plan (excluding GST), reduced by 1/10 of that amount for each full year your plan has been active. Plans active for 10 years or more receive no refund. For example, a plan bought for ₹12,999 and active for 3 full years would receive ₹9,099. See our Refund Policy.
This section does not apply to accounts suspended or terminated for breaking these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Fair usage policy
Lifehosty is shared hosting: many customers' websites run on the same servers. This policy keeps the platform fast and stable for everyone, which is what makes lifetime pricing possible.
5.1 Server resource limits
Each account has limits on CPU, memory, disk input/output, simultaneous processes and the number of files (inodes). These limits are applied automatically. If your website reaches them, it may slow down or show temporary errors until usage drops. Reaching a limit does not break these Terms.
5.2 Unmetered bandwidth
We do not charge for or cap the data your websites transfer to visitors. Bandwidth is unmetered for normal websites, but it is still limited by the server resource limits above.
5.3 What storage is for
Your storage is for the files, databases and email of the websites you host. It must not be used as a file store, backup archive or media library that is not part of a website, or to distribute large downloads or streaming media.
5.4 Email sending
Each account has an hourly limit on outgoing email. Email must follow our email rules. Newsletters and bulk email should be sent through a dedicated email-marketing service.
5.5 If your usage affects other customers
If your account uses much more than a normal website of its size and affects other customers, we will contact you, explain what we found and ask you to reduce it or move to a larger plan. We will only restrict an account without notice when that is needed to protect the server or other customers.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the Services for anything listed in our Acceptable Use Policy, including spam, phishing, malware, illegal content, or activities that overload shared servers.
7. Backups and your data
- Your websites, files, databases and email belong to you. We do not claim any ownership of your content.
- We run automatic backups of hosting accounts, and you can restore them from cPanel. Backups are provided as a convenience and are not guaranteed to be complete or available at every point in time.
- You are responsible for keeping your own copies of your important data, for example by downloading backups from cPanel regularly.
8. Support
We support the hosting service: the server, cPanel, email, SSL, backups, SSH access and the Node.js and Python runtimes. Support does not cover building or designing websites, fixing third-party themes and plugins, or writing, deploying and debugging your own application code. We may help with these when we can, but we are not obliged to.
9. Service availability
We work to keep your websites online at all times and monitor our servers continuously. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where possible. Occasional downtime can happen because of hardware failures, network problems, attacks or events outside our control, and we do not offer service credits for downtime.
10. Suspension and termination
- By you: you may cancel your account at any time from your client area or by contacting support. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
- By us, with notice: for most breaches of these Terms, we will first contact you, explain the problem and give you reasonable time to fix it.
- By us, immediately: we may suspend an account without notice if it is sending spam, hosting phishing or malware, being used to attack other systems, or putting the server or other customers at risk. We will tell you why and how to restore the account where that is possible.
- Accounts terminated for serious or repeated breaches of the Acceptable Use Policy are not eligible for a refund.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the plan the claim relates to. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
You agree to compensate us for losses caused by content you host or by your breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms, for example when the law changes or we add new services. We will post the new version here and email active customers about significant changes. No change will remove your lifetime plan's no-renewal-fee commitment, reduce your plan's resources, or weaken the commitments in section 4.7.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be handled by the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Before going to court, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
